Mr. Gaines is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree. He is married to Kathrine Gaines, the choir director at Horn Lake Middle school. Mr. Gaines had the honor of being a soloist at The White House during his time at MSU and continues to perform, teach, and serve as the Rehearsal House Manager with the Mississippi River Chorale, an adult community choir consisting of other teachers and choir directors, through the Midsouth Music Institute. He completed his first year of teaching at Southaven Intermediate School and is now in his fifth year as choral director at Lewisburg Middle School! Mr. Gaines is an active member of the Mississippi Music Educators Association (MMEA), American Choral Director's Association (ACDA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). He currently resides in Olive Branch, MS.
